The Hypercritical Separation Technology has achieved important results in enhancing the use of cereal straw for the production of biogas/biomethane. This pre-treatment processes can release cellulose from the grip of lignin, making it available to be converted into biofuel. This process is very economical.

Starting in 2018, none of the fuels currently produced in the EU can be used anymore. In that date greenhouse gas emissions are required to be less than 60%.

The Hyst biomethane, produced from agricultural residues and manure processed together, is already in line with the EU sustainability criteria..
